Apply a heat protectant if desired. Divide your hair into sections. Take one section of hair and place the brush at the roots. Using a hairdryer on medium heat and speed, direct the airflow down the hair shaft while simultaneously pulling the brush through the hair from the roots to the ends. The vents in the barrel will allow the hot air to circulate around the hair for faster drying. To create volume, lift the hair at the roots as you blow-dry. For smooth, straight styles, keep the hair taut as you pull the brush down.
