How to Use Prepare the Nail: Gently buff the nail surface and clean it with a nail cleanser to remove oil and debris. Apply Base Coat (Optional): Some users recommend applying a regular gel base coat (like DND #800) and curing it before the foil gel base for better overall adhesion of the entire manicure. Follow the regular base coat’s instructions for application and curing. Apply Foil Gel Base: Apply a thin, even layer of DAISY DND Foil Gel Base (#400) to the areas where you want the foil design to transfer. Avoid getting the product on the skin. Cure: Cure the foil gel base under a UV lamp for 2 minutes or an LED lamp for 60 seconds (curing times may vary depending on the lamp). The surface will remain tacky after curing – this is essential for the foil to adhere. Apply Foil: Cut a piece of your desired nail art foil to the appropriate size. Press the colored or patterned side of the foil firmly onto the tacky layer of the cured foil gel base. Gently rub or press the foil onto the nail to ensure the design transfers. Peel Off Foil: Carefully and slowly peel the foil sheet away from the nail. The design should now be transferred onto the sticky gel base.
Seal with Top Coat: Once the foil design has transferred, apply a layer of gel top coat to seal and protect the design for long-lasting wear. Be sure to cap the free edge. Cure Top Coat: Cure the top coat under a UV lamp for 2 minutes or an LED lamp for 60-120 seconds (depending on the lamp and top coat). No Cleansing: Most gel top coats used to seal foil do not require cleansing after curing. If yours does, wipe the nail with a nail cleanser and a lint-free wipe to remove any sticky residue.
